Healthy Commerce launched in 2005 with our first website, HospitalGiftShop.com, since then HGS has grown into the largest network of online hospital gift shops in the United States. We currently have more than 600 hospitals under contract, thousands of orders are placed through our hospital partners’ E-Shops every month. We deliver to literally every hospital in the country, in addition to our hospital partners, thousands of orders are placed through non-partner facilities every month.
HGS is looking to partner with select vendors in key markets to establish a best in breed partnership. We are in search of a “few good vendors” who are willing and able to provide a high standard of product quality and artistry, product availability, tight delivery protocol, superb customer service and who are able to fill a high volume of orders for a mutually agreed pricing structure.
This will be a bilaterally beneficial partnership; the benefits to HGS will be a reliable Partner Vendor who is able to fill a substantial volume of orders in a timely and professional manner using superb products.
The Benefits to our Partner Florists
- Guaranteed first priority for all orders from HGS in the Preferred Vendor Partner's designated delivery zip codes.
- HGS will showcase and sell Vendor Partner’s unique products and will host these products in its online shops for hospitals in the Vendor Partner’s region.
- HGS will provide extensive online marketing efforts and promotions, and will promote the Partner Vendor whenever possible in Press Releases, Online promotions, Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Google, Twitter, LinkedIn), MetaTagging, Descriptive words, AdWords.
- Vendor Partner will enjoy Affiliation with the leading and most recognized hospital gift shop E-Commerce organization and industry brand nationwide.
- Designated and Promoted to all hospital partners as a Certified Preferred Vendor Partner.
Hospital Gift Shop’s Preferred Vendor Partner will benefit substantially from this partnership and will enjoy many advantages of this affiliation. When you become a Certified Preferred Vendor Partner you will join a select group of vendors who we will represent to our hospital partners as elite vendor providers. Upon signing the vendor agreement and entering into the vendor relationship, each hospital in your region will be informed of your status. They will be made aware of the Delivery Best Practices that you have agreed to fulfill. The following operating standards along with the Delivery Best Practices are the necessary requirements for you to join our Preferred Partner Vendor Program. Upon your agreement to maintain these standards, you will receive a Certificate and a Hospital Gift Shop Certified Partner badge you can add to the website.
Operating Standards
- Product availability assurance, Preferred Vendor assures to stock inventory to support popular items promoted on Preferred Vendor’s assigned hospitals HGS e-Commerce sites.
- Product design assurance, HGS and Vendor Partner will review product design and expectations on the most popular items. This design standard will set a minimum expectation for product design and quality.
- Pricing, agreed upon pricing will be established and reviewed on a semi-annual basis for the most popular products. Holiday prices will also be established.
- Delivery assurance and protocol, delivery protocols and confirmations will be agreed upon and will be maintained during the partnership. For example a Preferred Vendor will:
- Confirm the recipient is available to receive order prior to attempting delivery.
- Preferred Vendor will establish time cut off for orders with same day delivery guarantee.
- Preferred Vendor agrees to delivery schedule (including latest delivery time, weekends and holidays).
- Delivery confirmation protocol, Preferred Vendor will provide two delivery confirmations.
- When the order is leaving the shop
- Within 60 minutes of the delivery.
- Customer Service and support expectations, HGS will review and agree with Partner Florist on a set of minimum standards for quality Customer Service and Support. Preferred Vendor agrees to a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee.
- Customer Complaints protocol, a mutually agreed upon protocol will be created to quickly resolve customer complaints or service issues.
- Signed Agreement, Preferred Partner and HGS will mutually sign an agreement which outlines the Best Practices Program.
Hospital Gift Shop Delivery Best Practices Certification Program:
- Thoroughly clean plants containers and Mylar balloons with antibacterial wipes just prior to delivery (driver should have wipes in delivery vehicle) to reduce spreading bacteria
- Offer houseplants that improve air quality
- Offer allergy friendly plants
- Offer plastic vases/containers for pediatric and psychiatric units to minimize harm from broken glass
- Include product list with all orders to minimize patient exposure to allergens
- Check eyes, nose, etc., of stuffed toys to ensure they are secure and not easily pulled off to ensure child safety
- Use balloon sticks in place of string to prevent strings from getting tangled in hospital equipment
- Deliver to hospital bedside or as close as possible, i.e. nurse’s station, delivery signature is required and printed last name plus date and time
